Well… this sort of speaks for itself. Or maybe it doesn’t. Should I explain?
This is another Logan (LoMo) Morrison commission. He’s been “LoMoing” (What’s that? Find out here.) and asked me to draw him doing the crème de la crème of LoMoing poses… that pose, of course, being the infamous Burt Reynolds pose from Cosmo in 1972. (Look it up, youngsters.)
So, here you go. Perhaps this is more than your delicate eyeholes can handle… personally, I think I’ll never draw anything quite this good (or erotic! Hey-oh!) again.
Another day, another Logan Morrison Twitter avatar.
LoMo, for those of you who don’t know, is the Miami Marlins left fielder. He digs my art, I’m super jealous of the fact that he gets to play baseball… so, it works out for both of us. He gets cool avatars, I get to have one foot in the baseball world. (Funny story: I quit baseball in high school to free up time to pursue art full time. I couldna been one of the greats, I tell you!)
Anyway.
I had a ton of fun drawing this one… I love the Marlins new jerseys and hats, so I spent a lot of time making sure I drew them just right. It’s all about the small details.
I’m working on one more avatar for LoMo… but that’ll have to wait to be revealed until later. This next one is something else, let me tell you.
Twitter Avatar Information!
So, as most of you may know (or maybe you don’t!), I’ve done a few Twitter avatars for baseball players and baseball TV hosts/analysts (and a friend or two here and there)…
The big ones that I’ve gotten attention for are Logan Morrison, left fielder for the Florida Marlins, former major league players / Baseball Tonight analysts Aaron Boone and John Kruk (both of whom were in the World Series at points in their careers!) and BBTN host Steve Berthiaume.

- Logan Morrison’s Twitter avatar (@LoMoMarlins), drawn by me!
Tweeps have taken notice. I’ve been asked and BEGGED to draw followers one for their Twitter accounts. So, as the old saying goes, time to give the people what they want.
I have a limited amount of time on my hands. I am a full-time comic book artist, a part time muralist, plus I have friends, family and a girlfriend I like to see on occassion. I really wish I could spend all day drawing avatars for EVERYONE who asks, but that’s just not possible. But, I can do some… and it’s going to have to be first come, first serve.
And here’s how it’s gonna work…
(and keep in mind, this is just round 1. I’ll be doing this again if you miss out!)
- There will be a total of 25 available avatars. One per person, please.
- Each avatar will be based on a photo you supply to me. It can be of you, a friend, family member, an animal… whatever. You know, just keep it tasteful, my grandma likes to look at my artwork.
- Each drawing will be a square, 7 inch by 7 inch drawing, fully colored. I draw everything digitally, so no trees are harmed in this process.
- You’ll get two versions, one sized for Twitter, and a full sized 600 dpi version that you can print out at home and get framed, put on a business card (or use as a Passport photo! ((not really)))… you can do whatever you want with it, once you buy it, it’s yours!
- Again, first come, first serve. My hope would be that you’ll receive your finished avatar a few days after payment is received, but keep in mind, it may take up to a week (especially if you’re number 25 on the list!)… Art takes time, friends!
- Each avatar will be $45, paid via Paypal.
- E-Mail me your image at justinpeterson@me.com after your purchase!

Here’s Brian Wilson of the World Champion San Francisco Giants on a Very Near Mint sketchcover. You’ve probably seen him on some MLB 2K11 commercials that are running on your ol’ television set. Or maybe you haven’t… in that case, here you go: http://youtu.be/DjPwEulMZ_w
Logan Morrison, left fielder for the Florida Marlins asked me to draw him up an avatar for his Twitter account. Not only is he one of my favorite baseball players, but I’ve also been a HUGE Marlins fan since 1993. You should follow LoMo on Twitter, because he’s hilarious… @LoMoMarlins
